Do the water bottle pockets stretch enough to take a 32oz. Nalgene when this bag is stuffed to full capacity?

Most likely. I just shoved my Nalgene stainless steel bottle in the side pocket (it is a bit tapered on the bottom and the top so it is not as cylindrical as the plastic 32oz) and it went in with ease. It will be a tighter fit with your bigger bottle, but based on how easy it was with a pretty big bottle, a slightly bigger one will be fine.
