I'm going on a day hike up a 14er in colorado and my trail shoes are shot. I have some redwing work boots that get me by in winter and nasty rain/mud, but I would never wear them hiking - too heavy. do you have a pair of these patagonia boots? this "day hike" will be at a pretty quick pace - you have to go up at 4 am and be back before storms hit in the mid afternoon.

This would work...but its going to be a pretty warm shoe. Might want to look for something lighter/more breathable.
