I am going to take a course in general mountaineering soon, but after I get more experience I would like to move on to do some technical mountaineering. The recommended use for these crampons is ice climbing, but would they also work for general mountaineering/glacier travel? Are they suitable for such a wide range of applications?

Thanks for the answer Ryan, and for suggesting an alternative.

These are great ice climbing crampons, but not general mountaineering. My favorite are the Black Diamond Sabertooth. Regardless you need to get some that have horizontal front points, the points are wide horizontally, not vertically. The Sabertooth are also good for ice climbing as well, just not as technical.
