How should I store this bag? The North Face site says about their sleeping bags "Store your bag in the provided large nylon/mesh bag (instead of a stuffsack or compression sack) to maintain the bag's loft throughout its lifespan." However, it comes with a nylon bag which they refer to in the description as a "stuff sack", and it is a bit compressed in there, so I don't know if I need to get a new larger bag to keep it in or not.

you can always use a big garbage bag to store it plus it keeps it protected from water , its also great to put sleeping bags inside a garbage bag and store it like that in a kayak since it allows the bag to fit better and kep it water proof

This bag only comes with a compression stuff sack. Don't store it in that. If you don't feel like getting a larger storage sack, don't worry about it. You can store a bag just loosely placed on a shelf.

As with any sleeping bag, try to keep in in the largest storage bag possible when you're not using it. Keeping the bag compressed destroys the loft and can ruin a bag in as little as a season.
