I am 6'1, 230lbs, I ski in vermont, and consider myslef an advanced intermediate. Would this be a good ski for me? and if so, what size?

I too am a 6'1" and a modest 237. I ski mostly the trees and out of bounds at Pico. I ski the Mantra in a 177cm. Granted they are better suited for powder, but the 177 is great for quick turns, bumps and the hold an edge while I skid steer down the icy death zones of midwinter VT skiing. Once I make it to the trees they shine. The 177 is still long enough to blast through the few deep powder days we see in VT. Great versitility- My mantra's are well travelled- Big Sky, Jackson, Alta, no problems. If I were to move out west I might jump up to a 184 but since I just get a week or so every year before I am back to VT. I would stick to the 177.

This could definitely be a solid ski for vermont (I'm an east coaster as well - most of the time). I'm 6'0 185lb ski patroller and I ski a 183 Gotama, which is a little wider. Given you described yourself as an advanced intermediate, I'd recommend the 184cm for you. However it won't provide as much float if you ski a lot of powder, or if you're already on a ski that long and looking to step up, then the 191 could be doable. I'd err on the side of the shorter ski for you though, it'll be more controllable and still plenty stable.
