Is this compatible with small kid's bikes? If not is the trunk easily accessible while in use?

You can put kids bikes on basically any trunk rack, from the cheap walmart racks to the nice Yakima one you see here. The trunk, however, isn't that easy to access when you have bikes on top of it with any trunk rack..
