The North Face Apex Bionic Softshell Jacket - Men's
I bought this jacket at a discount outlet in January of 2010....

I bought this jacket at a discount outlet in January of 2010. The zipper does not run straight from top to bottom but slants from right to left from bottom to top so that it is off center at the neck. Another jacket on the rack was identical. Was this the way the jacket was designed or was this a manufacturing defect? It's hard to believe TNF would let this out on any market if it was defective. Functionally the jacket is great but I've always wondered about the zipper. Anyone have any idea why the zipper would have been intentionally designed to slant from right to left?

I haven't noticed the zipper running at an angle.

I'd guess that's the reason that it was at the discount outlet.
