Has anyone weighed these shorts . I want some new shorts for backpacking and always bring an extra pair. Ounces are a big deal . For some reason manufacturers don't always list weights of shorts and shirts. Anyone?

Probably too heavy for you if you are counting ounces. Not super compressible/packable.
