Just measure the length and width of your Equinox cockpit. Forget the sizing convention names - NRS lists the length and width of the various size covers they sell. I have a bunch of Necky kayak's and the cockpits are about 34.5" X 17" or so. I ordered the extra small and it was too tight - didn't really fit.....so I returned and got the small - while a little large it fits fine and does the job. The guys at Backcountry will send you a free return shipping label if you let them know you are not quite certain. Just save the hassle, take good measurements and order the one you need.
