The floor is a separate piece, making this a very versatile tent. Below, Renan Ozturk provided this answer to the question: "it has a modular floor/inner protective layer that attatches inside the shell that you can use when it is super burly out for complete protection The sweet feature of this tent is you can use as a lightweight shelter without the floor, as a party tent or cook tent and not ruin the floor for when you really need need it. hope this helps, I totally recommend this tent for its durability and flexibility! "
