I like this pad, it's very light and all.
The material just feels very thin and doesn't look too tough. If I pack stuff in it, lets say my 20l backpack (which fits nicely in it) at say a max of 10kg, will the shoulderstraps hold together or will they rip?

Black Diamond pads tend to be quite well-constructed, so as long as your backpack isn't absurdly heavy you should be fine.
