How waterproof is the back or the top of the glove on the Hestra Free Rides? Is it waterproof. Had some wet skiing in the NE and gloves got sopped b/c the back of glove was like a sponge.

I was/am worried about that too with my gloves but I've had many wet days and my hands never got wet. Just make sure to use the Hestra lanolin on the leather parts or it will soak through the leather.

The glove is as waterproof as you want it to be. be sure to apply liberal amounts of the hestra glove lanolin to make sure they stay dry.
