Hi Jake! The bottle of Nikwax Tech Wash should would be enough to clean around 6-7 items. The Tx.Direct will treat 3-6 items, depending on whether you have a top-loading or front-loading washing machine. We recommend re-treating with Tx.Direct approximately every 6 washes. It depends a lot on how you use the treated garments. For my seasonal stuff (like snowboard gear) I treat it about once a season. I treat my everyday jackets about once every 6 weeks (I live in Seattle, so I wear my rain gear and softshells a LOT). I hope that helps. Thanks for the question! And stay dry!

Aaron pretty well has it covered, but I would just add...annually, after a period of heavy exposure, or if you start to notice any seepage through the fabric. You'll be happy with this stuff.

One bottle is good for about 2 washes, or one jacket and one pant. How often it's needed is probably better answered by the user but I can imagine once a season maybe twice is adequate for most. You're better off using a front loading washing machine though, you don't want anything risking getting caught in the agitator and being damaged.
