I am about 5'5" female with about a 30.5 inseam (not that this is really relevant but just to stress I'm not long legged). I first got the 100's and they were really short. I now have the 110. The 110's are still greater than the 100 degree angle indicated in the instructions. Of course, pole length is somewhat a matter of preference! I am debating whether to give the 120's a go. I suspect that the sizing is going to leave a lot of taller people out! BTW, I like my walking sticks quite a bit longer than ski poles! The skiing stance involves flexion of a number of joints. You are shorter skiing than walking :)

Hi, I'm 5'9 3/4" tall and the 120 cm pair work perfectly for me...but I have long legs (33.5" inseam). My friend is 6' tall and has shorter legs with more height in the upper body and the 120cm also worked perfectly for him. He did not need to size up to 130cm.

Got a ski pole? Use that to measure. If not, extend your forearm out in front of you so that it's parallel with the floor, make a fist. Measure the distance from the bottom of your fist to the floor, that's the size you want. If it's close, go up to the next size. That said, you should take a large at 47" (120cm). I found this sizing chart from BD explaining the procedure- http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/uploads/black-diamond/files/Z-Pole_Sizing_Chart.pdf There's also the BD Distance FL that's going to give you 20cm of adjustment.
