Chris, If you are looking for a good sleeping pad, I really feel like a thermarest made of foam is a great option. I have tried a lot of the pads that inflate, but I find the air makes me cold if the termperature really drops, and I wake up a lot of nights with my knees or shoulders on the ground and hurting (I am a side sleeper). The foam keeps it's consistency, and I don't have to wait for it to setup or worry about puncturing it. I love it! Chris, even though this is a 45 degree bag I would go with the insulated BA pad and you could use it for colder conditions or with a different bag if needed. The insulation won't matter much in warm conditions but really helps if the temps get cold.
