the Smith Stance's have a cylindrical lens, not a spherical lens. The spherical lenses curve going side to side and up to down, whereas the Stance lenses curve side to side only. The Phenom's have an outrigger system, only they stay down until you put on a helmet, so you don't have those big wings stickin off the side.

I am an owner of a pair of stance's, and personally I found little difference between them. the biggest thing is that the stance's have an out rigging system for the strap, so it distributes the pressure a little more evenly. If your not into that, then I would guess the phenom's would be the better choice.
