if your friend does most of the travels by car - you can go for any brand, but do try and get one that is at least 163 cm long - your friend will thank you for that. If flying is the most used form of travel, look for a wheeled bag. It makes life a lot easier getting around between lotsa people and terminals if you have a wheeled bag.
