i do a lot of SHORE CASTING in hawaii mostly at night i need a light that can shine at agood distance, i fish from high rocky places, lots of little and big holes,i need to be safe #1 and i need to see my poles from a distances a good head lamp is what i need can some one help me, THANKS N-MAHALO BILLY

This is a very good headlamp that will meet all your needs, but for long distance brightness you will be using mainly the xenon bulb. In that case, you could also go for the Black Diamond Icon, xenon +4 LEDs, for 40 dollars less. If you want maximum brightness all around though, this one is the top of the line.
