One thing that I have found is that I dont want to keep the screen on 100% of the time but I dont have a good handy case to put the screen in to protect it when it is not on the camera. Is GoPro going to come out with a case? Has anyone found a good protective case for that screen that is light wieght and protective?

I rubber band it to the back piece, which also keeps them together so it doesn't get lost. One side is a little exposed to damage, but the lcd screen is protected.
