I read the answer above and I will be using this pack with skis.
Comparing the stash & stash rider packs, which one do you feel is the superior pack to use with skis?
I have heard the stash system holds skis well and is easy getting them on and off the pack.
Are skis stable on the stash pack?
Are there any other reasons why the stash might make a better ski pack?

get the stash if you are carrying skis. they are basically the same pack except for the stash has a ski carrier and the stash rider has a snowboard carrier. You will have a very hard time carrying skis with the stash rider.
