Is everyone else finding that these boots are running small and not true to size? I take a 6.5 and when I tried at store I needed 7.5

Seems like I wear a 7.5 in every brand except Merrells, where I always end up wearing an 8.5

I ordered a pair of Merrell Chameleon Arc 2 a half size larger than my normal size. The length was fine, but I found the width too narrow and very restricting when I tried on the shoes with my hiking socks. I think the Merrell shoes look better in the photos. In real life, the toe box is weirdly tapered, unattractive, and uncomfortable, IMHO.
