It will definitely work for you. It's a good question though because there are a lot of other kayaks for sale that are probably too big and hard to handle. Absolutely!! Great kayak for beginners or advanced! My entire family owns the pungo 120 kayaks ages 11-40 it's very roomy and comfortable. The quality is superb I have no complaints! We go on day trips and much longer like 3-4 day floats! Invest in a good set of paddles like AT or any good carbon fiber paddles.
