Did Brunton change the design on the Vapor AF stove in 2010?...

Did Brunton change the design on the Vapor AF stove in 2010? Some retailers price the stove $94-$120, while others price the same product for over $200. I wonder if they imoproved the pump design that some complained about. Thank you for your help!

Robert & Phil, the only change I'm aware of from the first/prototype model is the "self-purging flipstop pump." This was added prior to 2010 but I don't know exactly what year. You are however correct about the cost. For whatever reason, this stove has very erratic pricing. For example the OEM MSRP is $227 & most retailers sell it for prices all over the board, way less than the MSRP.

If there is a difference, I sure don't see what it is. The resident expert, Jeff Gerhard, might know more, but the specs between old and new all seem to be exactly the same- same size/weight, same accessories, same fuels, same warranty. Brunton lists it on their site at $227, but then again, the same thing is true of the Vesta at over $91, when you can buy it here for under $55. I would just chalk it up to some retailers going off the list price, and the reality of the real price you should expect. Find the cheapest price and the best return policy and pull the trigger if it's the stove you want.
