I tried a pair of XL Blackdiamond frontpoint gaitors and they were too small to fit around my boots and calves. I was recommended the OR expedition crocs for more room

. I was going to order the XL size of these and forget about it but the sizing conundrum has my head spinning. Should I go for the large or the extra large? I'm a big guy, 6ft 280lbs heavy frame large calfs, and wear north face mcmurdo insulated boots size 12.

Thanks in advance!

Jared, I'm 6'-5", 200# with fairly large cycling calves. The XL fits great over my Sorel Commanders and insulated pants.

Jared, you could probably use either size. If your calves are very large I think I would start wtih the XL's. The sizing depends on the boot about as much as it does with your lower leg size. The boots you plan on wearing are very large boots so I think the XL would cover them.
