57% Merino wool. I have a pair and love them. Better than 100% wool in my opinion.

Alex, The Helly Hansen site doesn't specify, but says it's a bilayer system with the wool on the outside and the LIFA synthetic on the inside, next to your skin. I'm a recent convert to wool products, so I'd be interested to see how you feel about the bilayer system. Let us know! Happy trails!
