What's the difference between the Apex McKinley and the Apex Bionic? They kinda look the same....;)

There are also taped zippers on the pockets of the McKinley. Having both, I think the McKinley fits better than the apex.

The Bionic is advertised as "standard fit", while the McKinley is "performance fit". I went to the store last week to try them both (medium size), and I was hard-pressed to tell the difference. I did notice my chin brushed up against the McKinley more often. The Bionic's hand pockets go up high, almost up to the chest. You can probably fit a water bottle inside. The McKinley's hand pockets are normal-sized. However, as a side effect, you can use the space between the pocket and the jacket as an "inside pocket" on the McKinley (I don't know if this is intentional). Regarding the fleece, I had heard the McKinley was supposed to be heavier, but I couldn't feel a difference between it and the Bionic's fleece.

alexpro, Thanks for your question, the Apex McKinley and Apex Bionic jackets are very similar. Both are built from Apex Climateblock fabric. The Apex McKinley features recycled Climateblock fabric, and a heavier fleece backer than the Apex Bionic. The heavier fleece backer will make it warmer. You also get a bonded Napoleon pocket on the McKinley. I hope this is helpful for you.
