Tore ACL and MCL both knees 9 years ago. Had Donjoy Defiant braces before these ($800 EACH). Bought a pair of these 3 years ago.These are 100% better. Fit better, support better, more adjustable. Keep your knee from hyperextension as well as lateral shearing forces. Best $600 (pair) I ever spent

Compared to other knee braces, these are relatively cheap. The customer donjoys will cost upward of $1000.

This isn't just a knee pad. This is a brace, protecting your knees from lateral force, and providing support to the ligaments and tendons around the knee. Go tear an ACL and see if 600 bucks is anywhere near the cost to repair it.
