I'm not really sure I 'get' this jacket. An arcteryx jacket that does not contain Gore Windstopper, Polartec Wind Pro, of Polartec Powershield, but instead "Fortius"? What kind of insulative and wind resistent properties does this material have? I'm guessing almost none of the former, but some of the latter?

This jacket could be called a heavy weight wind breaker in my mind. It is going to resist a bit of wind and water, but probably shouldn't be relied on as a weather blocking jacket. More of a casual around town jacket that will keep a bit of weather off you, while being very comfortable. Could be compared to the Marmot Driclime or Arc'teryx Squamish Windshell as far as wind and water resistance go.
