How are the chords on the hood kept in place? My old Venture...

How are the chords on the hood kept in place? My old Venture had those plastic slip adjusters on them, don't see these on the new version. Anyone know what the deal is???

Little slider button dealies, but they hide under a flap of fabric when not in use.
