I ski switch a ton. I also am in big mountain extremes where I need to be able to float and charge. Has anyone mounted this ski in front of the "progressive" line which is 5cm back? I was looking to mount this ski closer to true center maybe 2cm back. I am 5'6" and about 145lbs and ski the 190s. I also wish salomon would lose the crap capped sidewall construct.

Davey, The one problem with mounting the ski so far ahead of the progressive line is when you will be in the big mountain extremes. You won't be falling over but you will clearly be a little front seat. This will allow shorter turns but maybe not as much float. On the other hand you are skiing a 190 at 5'6". The ski will already be giving you tons of float so that won't be too much of a problem.

Hi Davey, Here is some info I shared last year: This is for the 182s. Talked to Cody Townsend, he mounts them on the forward line. He told me Abma finds the exact balance point and mounts them there, ~3cm in front of the forward line. My first pair I mounted standard, second pair mounted between the lines. Didn't notice much difference. I've always liked the standard mount, but others swear by the forward mount... I don't think you'll have a problem with a forward mount, plenty of tip rocker for the pow. Hope that helps man!
