hey i really want this jacket in the burnt orange but they only have larges left. I am 5' 9" (more legs than torso) usually wear a medium in the top but can pull off larges every now and then. would a large look ok or too big and drowning?

Perhaps it's too late for you, but the XL is there now... also, I have this jacket & a Thermolite MB jacket & this jacket runs much more generous throughout-- longer sleeves, more space around the bust,etc. I almost ordered the XL because my Thermolite is snugger than I would like, but I'm really glad I went for a large in this one. PS-- I'm jealous- I love the burnt orange color, but I'm a sucker for a sale, so I bought the thyme green elsewhere instead. Great jacket!

I know that for Men's stuff, MontBell tends to run pretty slim and athletic. I had a friend that wanted this jacket, but she had to end up going with a Men's version because the women's didn't have long enough arms for her. I would think that you would probably be okay, and if not, backcountry has a killer return policy. Hope that helps!
