I am considering this as a replacement to an old & tattered Moonstone insulated jacket. I really like the moonstone but the pocket zippers snag nearly every time I zip up. Major Pain in the A**. How is the zipper quality on this jaunt?

These zippers are standard issue YKK, with the coils facing inward for a cleaner look. I think they perform quite smoothly, and don't noticeably snag. I think you'll like this jacket a lot. simon
