K2 SideStash Alpine Ski
I'm 5'7", 175 lbs, advanced skier, 55 years old....

I'm 5'7", 175 lbs, advanced skier, 55 years old. The ski shop is recommending 174cm length for me. I also ski Volkl Mantra 170cm and it feels a little short in deep powder but good on everything else; the next size up felt like too much ski. I prefer to make turns vs. high speed in powder. Do you agree on the 174cm length for the SideStash?

I definitely think it sounds like a good recommendation, considering your size/weight, ability, and how you feel on the Mantra's. Going up 4cm from your Mantra's equates to less than an extra inch on either end of the ski, so you probably won't notice it too much. These are a bit wider than the Mantra as well, so with the extra length and width I think you should have some nice float in the pow.
