does it have room for ski poles too? Has anyone used this bag for airline travel?

I wouldn't use this for airline travel it's not padded and your skis may bounce around. I use mine to protect them in the back of our truck, but you never know what those TAA people do to stuff :(

You can definitely fit a pair of poles in there. Can't answer your question about airline travel though, sorry.
