How does the shell of this jacket compare to the Tamarack. I just received the Tamarack for Christmas and want to but a liner. I am wondering if I should return it and but this coat that comes with a liner.

I looked at this jacket at a local retailer alongside the Tamarack. They seem fairly similar side by side except the Bastione has the Thermal R layer inside. Both seem like very nice jackets, but for an extra $60 it seems like a good idea to get the Thermal R layer.
