Do I have to wait until next season's lineup to get this in black?
Does anyone know how to 'recharge' a merino wool baselayer? Ive been using the same Smartwool merino wool longsleeve for 3 years now and it definetely gets ripe about halfway throught the day. It's still super soft and as thick as it always has been even though I wash it after every sweaty use, from trail running to snowboarding. I use scent free hypoallergenic detergent always. BTW, not all merino wool is created equal. My girlfriend has a REI longsleeve and it's gotten pretty thin and scratchy over the years. So if anyone knows how I can refresh my shirt that'd be awesome. Definetely gonna get another merino midweight like this Stoic. Hope it shows up in black soon.

Get a mild detergent with a pH level below 7. Dishwashing liquid works wonders at cleaning wool, because it is almost alkaline; otherwise a gentle, non-bio fabric detergent will work. Adding a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil, or a citrus based eco-product like Laundry Fresh will make your shirt a little softer and hopefully "recharge" the garment.
