I have a large men's Patagonia synchilla vest that I just purchased but it seems a little on the big side. I wear a large in almost everything else from MHW and TNF. Would a medium be too small? I am 5'10" and weigh about 160. Thanks.

No a medium should fit you perfectly. The synchilla line is not cut as tightly as the regulator stuff. ---- I am 5'9" and 145 lb, and I have a medium. It is roomy for me, but should fit great on someone your size.
