How easy is it to switch between the different resistance settings? Can you do it while strapped in or atleast on the slope?

I have a pair from a few years ago but it looks like it's the same mechanism--you need to take off the ski but you can do it on the slope. You just need to push in the pin (you can do it with the tip of your pole) and slide a metal piece forward or backward. On the hill it's a bit tough because of built up ice and snow--I usually use my other pole to push the metal piece. There are 2 pieces to slide on each binding. I have found overall it takes maybe 3 or 4 minutes to take the skis off, adjust both bindings, and put them back on.
