I don't know about anyone else, but this is my issue.. I am roughly 5'11", 225 pounds, very wide shoulders and a rather small waist. The reason I give those stats is because I, for the life of me, cannot find a softshell jacket that fits. Can anyone tell me if Arc'teryx or any other brand of jacket will work for my build. Not one person has ever been able to help up to this point, so I am hoping someone here might be able to help! It would be great if I could find something that fit snug, but there was still room for a layer underneath besides a fitted t-shirt or the like. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

I'm 6 foot 220lbs and 32 waist and I have multiple arcteryx xl jackets that fit great. By far the best brand out there for function and durability

Well I can't guarantee anything but I am 6' tall 185lbs and I've been told that I have wide shoulders also, and I have plenty of room with the large jacket. I think you should try it out in large and remember you can always send this back. Backcountry's returns are super easy to deal with.

Rick, I don't think most companies make a jacket that will fit the way you would like (alpine), because the wide shoulders throw off the general fit at your height and weight. There is one company that does use all your measurements to custom fit, however. They have an excellent lineup of baselayers, soft and hard shells, all of which is fit to your supplied measurements, and then customized to your requirements. www.beyondclothing.com Good luck.
