I am ALWAYS freezing and am considering this jacket for it's weight/warmth ratio. However, I'm concerned that I may need to layer it for total warmth. Is there a jacket you'd recommend that does not need to be layered?

Tara, The warmth-to-weight/versatility is the beauty of the Thunder Jkt. You can layer it under a waterproof shell for the super cold/windy/rainy days, or wear alone on the mild days. For a down jacket that requires minimal additional layering, I would look to the Prism Optimus Jkt. Or, check out the waterproof/Primaloft insulated Makalu Jkt. & Plasma Thermal Jkt. Hope this helps!!
