Would these work as a backcountry ski pant? I used to have the Patagonia Primo pants from 5 yrs ago, which were really burly. I sent them in for repair and rec'd a brand new pair of Primo's as warranty. Unfortunately, they are not going to work - they are way too lightweight, thin and not windproof for backcountry skiing.

I'm answering my own question as I just rec'd these pants from patagonia and they are definitely WAY too heavyweight for backcountry skiing. Plus they are huge on me and look like homey pants with how wide the legs are. I will be returning. I can no longer find any patagonia ski pants that will replace my previous pair of Primos (the new style is paper-thin and wind blows right through).
