Stoic Luft Down Sweater - Men's
How is the fit on this thing? Stoic pictures never really do...

How is the fit on this thing? Stoic pictures never really do the product justice, and this image makes this "sweater" look more like a jacket. Does it fit nice and tight for layering? (like the Patagonia or Eddie Bauer sweaters) or is it loose and poofy? The sizing suggests it runs small... Thanks for feedback!

Timothy, it fits very snug and would work great as a layering jacket. I am only 5'9" with a very bulky weightlifter build and this jacket was a horrible fit on me.

If you want it baggy go up a size.... I fit well in the Large and I went up to an XL and it is roomy and comfortable, especially for a puffy. I am 6'0 160 lbs. hope this helps.

Sizing is very different from last year. 2010 models are much larger than before. I'm 5'9" 160, and a 10 medium fits well and so does the 09 large. I normally wear medium in most brands.

I briefly had last year's version in my possession and ended up with the non-down Luft sweater, which has a very similar fit. I am 5'11, 190 lb. I have broad shoulders and about a 32 waist. For me the Stoic Luft fits tight and athletic, perfect for layering. It fits my torso closer to a medium, but has enough in the shoulders to accommodate my frame. If you have REALLY broad shoulders you might run into issues, but from the sounds of it this is the kind of fit you're looking for.

I haven't purchased this product but the item detail description seems to say a lot in the way of answering your question. I think I'll get the medium...I'll let u know.
