Someone suggested that if you're doing more than hanging around town and doing light skiing that you may want something beefier than this coat. Any suggestions for something "beefier"? I need to replace my 4 season zip in compatible goretex parka. At 10 years old it's finally wearing out.

For a beefier shell, I would recommend the Lockoff--it's the top of the line Gore-Tex shell, if you are looking for a heavy-duty outer shell. Waterproof, helmet-compatible hood, and good venting make it great for being active in any weather. If it is an insulated jacket you want, the Snow Cougar is really warm and insulated, plus it is waterproof as well!
