It is a bonded fabric that has a fleece lining on the inside. Not as warm as a big down jacket, but my wife wears it in the winter here in Colorado comfortably.

I have this jacket....I LOVE it. It is not lined separately, instead it is a sweater knit wool fabric on the outside that is somehow a velvety fleece on the inside, without being two separate pieces. It is more of a fall or spring weight, than a winter heavy jacket. It feels very soft inside and of excellent quality, with nice stitching details. There is a very small inner fleece cuff, which I really like too.
