This is definitely a great pow ski, but if you telemark on it, it becomes somewhat hard to use. This ski has huge rocker in both the tip and tail, which can lead to the wheelie effect. Since the telemark stance isn't balanced the same as the alpine stance, the tail rocker will cause you to "wheelie", and lift the tips up high in the air. I had an opportunity to try these with hammerheads a while ago, and I constantly felt like I was going to fall backwards. I recently bought the Icelantic Shaman instead of the pontoons, and they are great. They float awesome in pow (the shovel is the same width as the pontoon), and still carve well on groomers because of huge sidecut. And they also have no wheelie effect. Hope this helps.

i'm not a telemarker but these are probably the floatiest ski out there. i know the jj works well for telemark, but if you want something super floaty for nothing but bottomless powder get the pontoon. other good options, bentchetler, kuro, jj, s7, bibby pro.
