I like a well fitted baselayer (small Patagonia capilene) for my 6'00" height. It's important that it's long enough for my height but also that I can throw 2 layers over it in a pinch. Everyone says that Arc'teryx is an athletic fit and that you should order a size up... would an M from the skelebird compare to an S from Paty?

I'm 5'11 170 and the medium in the Phase SV fits me well-not too tight but is close throughout. Sleeve length is right as well. I guess a Sm would be fairly tight on you. These do have more stretch than a capilene.
