I just bought this sleeping bag. I love it, but I have a tough time stuffing into the XS stuff sack they send with. Any suggestions on stuffing a down bag? Should they really have sent a S stuff sack?

One trick I've learned is to turn the bag inside-out before stuffing it in. The outer shell of the bag is treated with DWR for wind and water resistance, so it's harder for air trapped inside the bag to escape. When you flip it inside-out, it's easier for excess air to escape through the inner layer of the sleeping bag. Hope this is helpful!

I agree with you about the XS size. Western Mountaineering does the same thing. I suggest using a S size compression stuff sack. You will then be able to control how much you want to compress your 850 fill sleeping bag. I feel the less compression on the higher loft down the better the bag will work. In fact I stuff mine in my day pack along with a few other down items which all fit neatly in the bottom compartment of my pack. Just a thought.

Unzip it part way and start by stuffing the bottom of the bag in first. Just keep packin' and stuff the hood last. If you stuff the hood first it traps air in there and makes it a little more difficult. Hope that helps.
