It comes with 2 liners, so just order the right size and choose which ever you like - knit liner for winter or just the inner cushion for summer. To wear the helmet without any liner and with a beanie would be unusual... "Hatstyle" paint jobs are the multicoloured ones in the pics above that kinda look like baseball caps.

No, unless you plan on wearing a thick beanie under it instead. Hat style refers to the paint job.
