Many people make the mistake that this is a stand alone garment for winter tmperatures but it is not. It works great as a layer or for cool days but this is not going to keep you warm on it's own.

Hey Alex, This jacket is definitely warm enough for winter wear, depending on conditions of course. If you are in severe winter temperatures, this jacket works as a great layering piece. Or if it's more moderate temperatures you can definitely get away with this and a t-shirt underneath. It really is gonna vary from person-to-person as well as conditions. 300 weight fleece is very warm though. You also get some DWR protections to help protect against a light rain.
