By Ranked #207 - Men's Lace Snowboard Boots November 1, 2010

Anyone else have any feedback on this year's Driver X's yet other than Brando? Looking for a STIFF, low profile boot for splitboarding. Any other ideas for a similar boot would be awesome as well. I have a size 12-13 boot so anything that will reduce my foot print and heel/toe drag is what I'm looking for.

Hey QuinnL, While I haven't tried this year's Driver X, I can tell you a great boot for your needs. Check out the Salomon Malamute boot (http://www.backcountry.com/salomon-malamute-snowboard-boot-mens). This boot is super stiff (10/10) but is as low-profile as they come. I've been riding Salomon's for years and have never been disappointed. Also, their PowerLace Pro set up is legit, just beware of your gaiter lace loop, not recommended for PowerLace set up's as it can loosen it.
